Elijah Carey (b.1980), raised in the costal city of Long Branch, N.J., began his love affair with painting at a very early age. At the age of 8, he was influenced by American painter, Bob Ross's "Joy of Painting" TV program, and quickly began studying his techniques. His parent's took notice of their sons remarkable talent and enrolled the budding artist into the Talented Art Magnet Program.
At the end of high school, Elijah had received numerous honors,won state art competitions, and had successfully sold works to valued local buyers. He also been exposed to a variety of new and exciting techniques byattending summer camps held at nearby universities. He later credited those summer sessions as the foundation to his willingnessto explorenew styles of painting.
Although encouraged to continue in the field of painting, Elijah decided it would be more realistic career wise to pursue a degree in graphic design. He decided on attending the intimate catholic university of Marywood in north eastern Pennsylvania. Here is were for two years he grew to learn to love the element and business of design. His new education led him to begin freelancing in graphic and web design. It also opened the door to online marketing.
Today, Elijahcontinues as an online marketer, but his passion is that of painting. The love affair he still continues from childhood.
